Producing high class concerts with top soloists and orchestras is an expensive undertaking, and the cost is rarely covered by ticket sales, even for a sell-out concert.

To bridge the financial gap The Burford Singers have devised several methods of fund-raising:

One-off events

  • Music workshops led by Brian Kay on well-known works such as Handel’s Israel in Egypt, which are always popular. Our last event was a workshop on The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, on Saturday 20th September 2014, which attracted over 200 singers.
  • Craft fairs such as the May Fayre held in May 2013.

Anyone can sign up to the Burford Singers page of Easyfundraising. Online purchases then produce a ‘dividend’ which goes to the choir, with absolutely no cost to the purchaser. We have raised more than £700 through our supporters’ online purchases.

Quizzes, Jam-Making – you name it!

We also fund-raise within the choir, and have fun at the same time.

We welcome your support at our future fund-raising events.
