Leading our day will be our inspirational Director of Music, Will Dawes, supported by three young professional soloists and accompanied by the inestimable Robin Baggs

About the Event

Spend a wonderful day immersed in one of the greatest works in the choral repertoire: Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius. Whether you are an experienced singer or completely new to large-scale choral music, you are warmly invited to take part.

One day. One masterpiece. One wonderful sound.
All are welcome, with or without previous experience. No advance preparation is expected. Three professional soloists will join us for a reduced performance at the end of the day.

Important Information for Singers

  • 📖 Bring Your Own Score: We will be using the Novello edition. Please bring your own copy if possible. A limited number of hire copies will be available on the day for £2.50 each.
  • Refreshments: Complimentary tea and coffee will be available during the morning and afternoon breaks.
  • 🧺 Packed Lunch: Please bring your own lunch for the midday break.
  • 🍰 Cakes & Music Sale: Enjoy refreshments during the day and browse our cake and music sale, helping to support the event.

Parking & Arrival

  • 🦺 Parking guides in high-visibility jackets will direct arrivals.
  • 🚗 Access to the main car park is via the A361.
  • ♿ Organisers and disabled attendees should use the main entrance from the A40.
